CELEBRATING 17 YEARS AS A FUNKTIONAL
ART GALLERY

Sometime in the mid-2000s, Steph Johnson carried–with her own two hands–a handmade porcelain sink from Mexico, onto an airplane (it fit in the overhead compartment!), and installed it into the bathroom of a new art gallery in Spenard. That’s where the name came from. Dos Manos: Two hands. That name–along with the sink–embodied everything that the young owners loved: handcrafted, colorful, meaningful art. “Stuff with a story,” as they like to say.
