May First Friday

Join us on May 3rd from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for the reception of our First Friday show featuring AnnMarie Young.

At Dos Manos, we are always excited when we can work with new and emerging artists in the Alaska art scene like AnnMarie Young. AnnMarie was born and raised in Texas, getting her BFA in Studio Art from the University of Texas in 2021. She came to Alaska the summer after graduation and fell in love with the landscape and lifestyle.

AnnMarie’s story reminds us how special of a home we have here. Alaska has that pull. Adventurous yet laid-back, isolated yet communal, our unique way of living casts an allure that borders gravitational. The sheer breadth of natural beauty readily lends itself to inspiration and creativity. Take one look at AnnMarie’s work, and you’ll sense that pull shining through.

We are honored to host AnnMarie’s first solo art show in Alaska from May 3rd to July 1st. Her work, including brand-new paintings, prints, and stickers, will be displayed in our feature room.
